This Sunday marks Mother’s Day for many of us around the world. On Mother’s Day – and every day – we celebrate the invaluable role that mothers play in their children’s lives, and we want to do our part to support moms worldwide.
We know that although women make up about half of the work force, they’re still spending over twice as much time on the childcare and domestic work.
How can we help to lighten moms’ loads, improve their health and well-being, and help them close the gender pay gap?
Let’s push for parental leave for all new parents – moms and dads. Let’s push for a world where all parents take an equal role in their children’s lives, and where single parents and diverse families are celebrated and supported.
Check out our MenCare Parental Leave Platform, which – in addition to the benefits of paid, nontransferable leave for all parents – highlights access to high-quality early childhood education and care for all children, as well as other ways to alleviate the burden of care and to change norms around caregiving globally.
