Digital MenCare: The role of digital technology in Bulgarian families

Digital technology is becoming more and more present in the everyday lives of Bulgarian families. Members of the youngest generation are growing up to be “digital kids.” Children often take the use of digital technology – namely the Internet – for granted, and parents are facing new challenges in terms of managing their children’s use of and access to technology. Growing digital connectivity is occurring – at different stages – practically all around the globe. 

In Sri Lanka, MenCare Bangladesh learns strategies for engaging fathers

After launching the Priyo Baba (“Dear Father”) campaign last year, MenCare’s partner in Bangladesh, the Center for Men and Masculinities Studies (CMMS), is working to adapt and pilot a new fatherhood program in the country. To learn from others who have already developed and tested programming in South Asia, CMMS staff recently visited MenCare partners in Sri Lanka on an exchange trip.

MenCare Rwanda partner, the Rwanda Men’s Resource Center (RWAMREC) held a national celebration event in Kigali to mark the completion of the country’s MenCare+ project on February 4, 2016. The event highlighted key achievements over the project’s three years of implementation, with presentations by RWAMREC, Equimundo, and the Embassy of the Netherlands. Approximately 75 attendees

MenCare Sri Lanka hosts retreat for fathers and families in December

World Vision Lanka, MenCare Sri Lanka’s coordinator, hosted a MenCare retreat for 18 families on December 4-6, 2015. Fifty-five participants took part in the two-day residential program for families from the Moray Estate in the Ambagamuwa Area Development Program (ADP). Fathers received graduation certificates and celebrated their successful completion of the MenCare program with their families, 

MenCare Sri Lanka partner establishes community forum to sustain fatherhood programming
