The Ami ê Pai campaign (“I’m a father” in Creole), jointly initiated by Cape Verdean government organizations and Equimundo-Brazil, hopes to contribute to changing the Cape Verdean culture related to gender norms and masculinity, which limit men’s ability to show affection and actively participate in their families’ lives.
