The MenCare Parental Leave Platform presents 10 ways to leave gender inequality behind and give our children the care they need. MenCare is calling on governments and employers to adopt equal leave policies for both parents that are well-paid, non-transferable, and adequate in length. These policies have proven to be some of the most effective in encouraging men’s caregiving and promoting greater equality in the household, workplace, and society as a whole, particularly when embedded within broader strategies to reduce and redistribute care work.
